Who we are
The Giving Tree started with a simple idea and a big heart in 2016, thanks to our founder, Ms. Maelonie Tamondong. Her passion was to build a place that offered truly exceptional care—not just supervision, but a nurturing second home for every child.
We're so proud that this dedication resonated with families! We quickly grew from that very first location in 2016 to four wonderful centers today, all within less than a decade.
Our success is really all about the loving community we've built, and you can see it in the amazing stories and wonderful experiences shared by our parents and
dedicated teachers, proving the trusted impact we have on our community’s youngest learners. We can't wait to welcome your family into our growing tree!
Giving Back to Our Island Home
At The Giving Tree Preschool Centers, we believe in supporting the community where our families live and thrive. Our commitment is to instill the value of generosity in our students and help nurture a stronger, more compassionate Island of Guam.
​We are actively involved in giving back to our local community by regularly hosting essential drives and initiatives that support all generations:
​Support for Foster Children & Families: We host drives to provide critical supplies, comfort items, and resources for children in foster care, and partner with local organizations to strengthen families within our community.
​Connecting with Our Seniors: We facilitate visits (such as singing or art exchanges) and collect donations to bring comfort, cheer, and necessary supplies to our treasured elder community members.
​Through these efforts, The Giving Tree students learn firsthand the joy of contributing to a stronger Guam

Celebrating Chamorro Culture
We honor our Chamorro heritage by weaving cultural traditions into our daily program. Through language, stories, local songs, and hands-on activities, we help our children stay connected to the spirit of I Taotao Tåno’. This commitment ensures our little ones grow up with pride and an understanding of the culture that shapes our island.

By focusing on high-quality early education, we invest directly in Guam’s future. We prepare children not only academically, but emotionally and socially—empowering them to become strong, compassionate members of our community.
